Purpose of the invention: gave better transportation for people
Brief history of how it came to exist : Nicolas Joseph Cugnot invented the car for the purpose of mankind and the need of future transportation. He basically took the first combustion engine that worked and made a ghetto car out of it. over 100,000 different versions of the car was made. Also the first automobile that was made by Nicolas was an army military tractor. It had only three wheels and was capable of speeds of 3 mph.
